  • Fine Dining

I am always down for a culinary adventure and love a leisurely dining experience. Tasting menus, chef’s tables, and Michelin stars always welcome, though I do appreciate an authentic hole-in-the-wall. My ever-growing constellation:

Blue Hill at Stone Barns ⭐️⭐️ in Tarrytown, NY is divine. I loved the farm tour and main dining room; eating in the private Garden Room would be a dream come true. They also have a restaurant in Manhattan’s West Village I have yet to visit.

Varoulko Seaside ⭐️ was a highlight of my stay in Athens, Greece. Gorgeous waterfront dining with a fresh, flawless seafood menu. I had sea bream for the first time, and could have made a meal of the yuzu ceviche.

Salt + Charcoal ⭐️⭐️⭐️ chef, Williamsburg, Brooklyn. As someone who loves most Asian cuisines I’ve tried, this menu was on point. The homemade tofu was like silk, and that one-day-baked whole onion…beyond words.

Le Coucou ⭐️ Manhattan, NY. My first foie gras and duck à l’orange. My French dinner companion chose this spot when I asked for one of his favorites in the city, so this is the closest I have been to visiting Paris—yet. Getting a corner booth was an extra romantic touch within the grand setting. Lunch in the front room was just as delightful.

  • Live Music & the Performing Arts

I grew up singing classically and dancing onstage in theaters, so live performances are wonderfully comforting while always exciting for me. From the symphony to jazz lounges to concerts, I’m sure we can find where our fancies intersect.

Getting glammed up for opening night at the Met and other international opera houses (La Scala, anyone?) is still on my bucket list, as are the TONY Awards and Cannes Film Festival. Season tickets to the opera, NYC Ballet or Jazz at Lincoln Center would be marvelous gifts. Note that Dizzy’s Club at the latter now has late night shows perfect for longer dates.

Fun fact: I worked at and have a soft spot for Bard College’s Summerscape Festival just outside Rhinebeck, NY, where they put on top quality, high-production value musicals, operas, and plays. The campus grounds are gorgeous for walking and photo ops, if you’re into that sort of thing, and the area has a good variety of delicious restaurants. We certainly can’t go to bed before we boogie in the epic Spiegeltent cabaret! Bring your dancing shoes, babe—rhythm is a turn-on.

  • Natural Beauty

When I say I like hiking, I generally mean I like walkingin nature on a fairly level path, but I can gear up for an uphill journey if you’re so inclined 😉

I’m as surprised as anyone I have not yet been to the Cloisters or NYBG here in New York. Any botanical garden, plant or flower show will get my attention, really.

Leaf-peeping colorful upstate New York foliage is my bread and butter, an experience I would definitely recommend doing at least once in your life. Local guide here, at your service! Who doesn’t love warming up with cider donuts and snuggling during sweater weather?

In wetter and colder months, museums are lovely substitutes that combine a bit of exercise and beauty. The Morgan Library in NYC and Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston are personal favorites. Any late-night event at a museum always feels sexy and special, too.

  • Spa Day

I might love massages even more than I love sex and indulge in at least one massage a month at a local spa that accepts gift cards. Deep tissue for me, please and thank you!

Full-day pampering is obviously my favorite, and I’d so love to luxuriate together. SoJo Spa Club and Aire Ancient Baths are great options in the NYC area, while my favorite Hudson Valley escapes include Piaule Catskill (Catskill, NY) and Thistle Spa at Wildflower Farms by Auberge (Gardiner, NY). The best part upstate is we can stay overnight, so the only decision we have to make is spa day upon arrival or before departure? Lovely overnight locations with treatments available include Mirbeau Spa & Inn (Rhinebeck),The Dutchess Inn (Beacon),and Buttermilk Falls Inn & Spa (Milton).

  • Saratoga & the Race Track

Saratoga Springs, NY is a charming city, with plenty of good food and shopping to keep us entertained all weekend. Would you rather get cozy in the sauna at a woodsy cabin or lounge and be waited on at one of the historic local hotels? The Sagamore Resort has year-round options, including a lake-side infinity pool, seasonal fire pits, and the Ice Bar extravaganza in late January. Horseback riding before a sunset dinner in the Adirondacks sounds exceedingly romantic, though I’ve yet to do it.

In the summer, we can watch and bet on the professional riders—jockeys at the race track! I usually win more as dice-blower than active gambler, so consider me your good luck charm. Running for eight weeks from mid-July to early September, the Saratoga Race Course offers opportunities for every level of formality. We can pack a cooler and sit on the lawn, get dressed up and eat in the clubhouse, or do some celebrity-spotting from a private box. Just be sure to give me enough head’s up to find the perfect hat!

  • Dressing Room Shenanigans

Take full advantage of my model stature and have your own private fashion show. Dress me up while we are out shopping and help me pick something to bring home. I also have a great eye for design, if you’d like me to serve as your personal shopper. Most high-end malls have good options for both of us, and there’s always Fifth Avenue 😇
